Hello, I'm Edith and I have been licensing my designs since the late 80's, exhibiting at Surtex for 15 years and the International Licensing Expo during the 90's. After the 2005 Surtex I took a sabbatical while my husband, Hal, convalesced from major cancer and heart surgeries. We're a team in all our undertakings and today Hal is heart healthy and cancer free. We changed our life style and moved from our wonderful home and studio in Kansas City, Mo. to the ever changing mountains of the Smokies. Simplifying our lives, today we enjoy life from a log cabin in the Smoky Mountains, the unending source for inspiration in my work.

This is the short version but it is the end result of a long and steep journey to health and the appreciation of what life is all about. One of my objectives during this 6 year sabbatical was to learn how to work Photoshop and evolve and reformat my images. I knew zero about the computer or Photoshop but I have moved from that position to being able to manipulate my images and evolve them for current use. This ongoing learning could be accomplished only through lynda.com, my Mac (thank you Steve Jobs) and RapidWeaver, the soft ware allowing me to build and change and rebuild my site, The Edith Collection. It must added that the unending patience from all involved was and is deeply appreciated. My web host, MacDock, is the best ever.

Besides working on the computer I completely redid this cabin. It was the glue which held me together and I am very excited over all that I did. Today I am focused on re-entering the world of licensing and building new works.
